The Williamsburg Landing Community Center project involved the construction of a new, state-of-the-art facility within a premier life plan community, designed to support wellness, social engagement, and resident services. The building includes a theater, fitness and wellness spaces, dining areas, and multi-purpose rooms, all supported by high-performance mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. The design emphasized energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and system reliability while accommodating the diverse needs of residents and staff in a continuously active environment.

Challenges

  • Designing MEP systems to serve a wide range of spaces, including a 300-seat theater, fitness areas, dining facilities, and multi-purpose rooms.
  • Maintaining consistent comfort and indoor air quality across varying occupancy levels and activity types.
